A Mondovi man is accused of soliciting a woman for sex outside an Eau Claire motel.

56-year old Craig Oesau is charged with a misdemeanor count of prostitution.

According to the criminal complaint, police received a report that Oesau had solicited a woman for sex on the afternoon of August 14 at Rodeway Inn on South Hastings Way. The woman told officers she was outside the rear steps of the motel with her 16-year old sister so she could smoke. A man, later identified as Oesau, approached and asked if either one of them would have sex with him. They refused. Oesau then asked the woman if she would have sex with him for cash, and she refused that offer too. Oesau then left the scene and was tracked down by officers a short time later. He admitted to talking to 2 females behind the motel but denied offering them money for sex.
