A Minnesota man is awaiting charges after he is arrested for kidnapping and assaulting a woman last weekend.
36-year old Dontay Reese or Burnsville, Minnesota is currently being held in the Jackson County Jail. According to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, troopers from the Wisconsin State Patrol arrested Reese on Sunday afternoon. They had been searching for his car based on a tip that a man was seen hitting a woman and pulling her into the car at a Foster-area conveinence store and then driving east on I-94.
When troopers found the car, they saw a man in a wooded area near the ditch. The 23-year old woman, who was from Minneapolis, then ran from the woods, yelling for help. She told troopers that she’d been held captive throughout the day by the man and he had sexually assaulted her. Reese then came out of the woods and surrendered. Reese is facing several charges, including 1st-degree sexual assault, kidnapping, and cocaine possession. The case remains under investigation.
