2 people hurt in separate crashes over the weekend in Pierce County

2 people were hurt in separate crashes Sunday in Pierce County.

The first involved a motorcycle. The Sheriff’s Department says they were called just after 10 a.m. to a motorcycle crash on Highway O in the town of Diamond Bluff. They say 41-year old Jon Fila of Stillwater, Minnesota was going southbound on Highway O when he left the road, went into a ditch, and overturned, causing him to be ejected from the bike. He was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The second crash was reported just after 1 p.m. on 640th Avenue in the town of Oak Grove. The Sheriff’s Department says a car driven by 60-year old Michael Simones of Prescott was westbound on 640th when he lost control, went into a ditch, struck a tree and overturned. He had to be extricated from the car, and was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. Both crashes remain under investigation.
