Multiple county vehicle pursuit keeps State Patrol busy

A vehicle pursuit keeps deputies busy in Trempealeau, Jackson, and Eau Claire Counties last night.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says just before 6:00, a vehicle was stopped on I-94 at mile post 87 for an illegal window tint. During the stop, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and a pursuit began. The vehicle went eastbound on I-94 at a high rate of speed, and the pursuit continued onto Exit 105 in the City of Hixton in Jackson County where officers lost the vehicle. The vehicle was spotted again in Blair, and Trempealeau County officers pursued it for a short distance before ending their portion of the chase.

Later, the Wisconsin State Patrol spotted the car just after 7 p.m. on State Highway 93 and saw it turn westbound on I-94 at Exit 68 in Eau Claire County. Troopers pursued the car once again into Dunn County until they lost contact with the vehicle. The location of the suspects and vehicle is unknown, and the incident is still under investigation.
